Craig Is a Fine Art ocean and wave photographer in who resides in Mission Viejo Ca . He shoots wave photos in the water with his water proof camera housing. His intention is to provide an up close real world perspective and vision of breaking waves that others can’t capture shooting from the beach. To be in the water and immersed in the oceans action is where he feels the true beauty of the ocean is, and needs to be documented.
With the initial intention of taking photos his son Chase body surfing, Craig has developed a passion and pursuit of Fine Art Wave Photography. He was soon noticed and recognized by a large following on social media and many local art galleries, business of his fine art photos
With a formal education in Photography from Orange Coast College, Craig understands the Photographic process and has a deep understanding for the art. His love for Fine Art Nature and Landscape photography has driven him to focus on Wave Photography as a pure Art Form. The challenge and excitement of capturing a beautiful empty breaking wave in motion is what keeps him coming back for more. Exploring the complexities of wave photography and knowing that every wave large or small has its own unique beauty with endless variations of light, color, textures and detail.
Since Craig’s youth he has always had a love for photography and admired Famous landscape photographers like Ansel Adams , and surf photographers like Aaron Chang , Woody Woodworth. Craig’s appreciation for the oceans beauty came from a very young age. As a youth his parents would take his family to El Morro beach in Laguna where Craig learned to surf and spent his summers in the water constantly. He was always fascinated with the ocean and could watch the waves break for hours on end.
